My NYC pal Barbara Rosenwach has sent me an article reporting that the Eurovision Song Contest I blogged about is about to undergo a prime-time remake on NBC TV in the states. The network is looking for competition for American Idol.In the US there will be a state by state contest. Each state will select a band or singer to represent it in a national final. They are supposed to choose artists reflecting their musical heritage.
A phone vote will decide the winner and voting will be set up as in Eurosong so that people can't pick their own state as winner.
