My house-sitting career continues to flourish and this weekend (7/31) I moved into my next assignment, a four-story, 11-room house on the Transit Road just past the Jewish Cemetery with a to-die-for view looking down the hill into Sarajevo. The house is gorgeous, tastefully decorated with Nepalese instruments, Indian bells, bright African paintings and prints, all artefacts from the foreign service travels of my hostess. She also has a great library, a wonderful collection of DVDs and -- a beagle named Dickens that I am invited to partake of. It's wonderful having a dog again. He begs for food, hogs the blankets in bed at night but treats Oscar the cat, my other roommate, like his puppy. I'm here through Sept. 6.
