One of the luxuries of the house I'm sitting is Armed Forces Network on the television. I can get CNN, FOX and every sit-com put on in the United States over the past 30 years. It's wonderful and well worth the price -- which is endless messages to the military in lieu of ads about security and unity. Messages such as:
"Many European roads are narrower than in America. Don't weave in and out of traffic."
"Try to blend in when you go out."
"Suicide is a threat to an individual and to unit readiness...inform the chain of command..."
"Tooth to toe health is important for the whole unit."
So the other night, watching AFN as usual, I caught the Conan show featuring Barbara Walters talking about her new special -- What is heaven and how do we get there? in which she talked with religious leaders and thinkers all over the globe.
She said that nearly everyone agrees heaven is what makes you happy.
|"Ah heaven," Conan commented, "pillows and pudding."
That is heavenly I agree.
