A Saturday at Work

After 34 years in newspapering I still love days like today has been. In a last-minute push of proofing and rechecking and polishing we are pushing a new projet out the door this weekend. Nearly everyone is here, only dressed down and we keep taking breaks for Bosnian coffee or popcorn. Of course, we are all sniping at one another and groaning over all the work, especially the minutae -- like making the names of political parties are spelled the same way in six different stories.

Working like crazy I am day-dreaming about last weekend's trip with Hawley to Hvar, a Venice-like town at the western tip of Hvar Otok -- an island off the coast of Croatia.

Details --and photos -- to follow.
