Enemies in stone

This is how Egyptians immortalized their enemies. Note the stereotyped facial expressions. They are depicted with chains around their neck -- and one arm cut off. Oneother humiliation. These lines of enemies are lined up on temples in the exact spot where the ruling paroah is striding so that through all eternity they are under the heel of his foot. You gotta admire that attitude.
