Party-goers have a blast, but Henry is locked out on the patio due to silly prejudice some people have against cat paws in their guacamole and his stubborn insistence on batting around flowers and other party decorations.
This was a great party. We consumed huge amounts of great food and wine and everyone stayed late telling funny stories.
My favorite story was Ermin's and Selma's about the Bosnian family in the US who could not find whole lambs to put on a rotisserie like home anywhere. Except a pet store. So they bought Sally, ribbon round her neck and all, and took her home to dinner. A while later the pet shop asked how Sally was and the immigrant responded promptly in purposely amateurish English: "Sally, go."
Drew pulled out his guitar at one point but it soon was clear that Bosnians, as Miranda put it,"I don't get that kind of music." So Drew switched to comedy and announced he would perform some of the Bosnian Songs Cycle he was working on.
The crowd favorite was: "Why do you stuff all your vegetables with meat?" although I was fond of "I want to steal money from my company too..." with Ermin's impromptu refrain of, "and from my country as well!"
Zephyr has changed her name here again too, soon after discovering that Zi-zi is what little French boys call their penises. She is now Zephira -- an actual Bosnian
name.
