More newspaper reading

A bizarre story has played out in the letters section of El Khabir, according to what Nadir is translating for us. We cannot figure out how a story like this has not been picked up in the western press.

It seems that a Dr. Izat Atiya from the University of El Azhar in Egypt came up with an inventive Koran-approved method to cut down on workplace sex. Nadir scoffed in disbelief that we even had to ask when we did ask if office romance was a problem.

The professor's idea: women should breastfeed their male coworkers. I know. We thought it was a bad translation at first too. Or we misunderstood. But that was it. Breastfeed them. After that, they would regard their women colleagues as they would their mother and romance would be out of the question.

When he first presented this idea howls of protest and disbelief followed. The professor wrote today that he may have been mistaken But it's too late. A news item announced that the professor had been fired.
