How many wives does one man need?

One of the reporters we are working with is doing a series about some of the richest people in Algeria and she had an interview recently with the school bus king of the country.

He has six wives (though that didn't' stop him from trying to "cruise" her as well.) Six! she told him, Muslims are allowed four wives.

Ah, four, he told her, that is just to please God.

Arrogant, perhaps, but definitely colorful. The reporter has found that the rich here are not like rich folks elsewhere, as she describes it. You don't see them running around in limos or building large complexes. That exposes them to danger. Instead they spend their fortunes in Europe, Spain or France.

The law here prevents any discussion of how exactly some rich people got rich. To help heal the wounds of the last decade's civil war between Islamists and moderates, the government has forbidden news about collaborating with terrorists. Some people in short, got rich feeding information to men with guns in search of targets.
