US reporters talk about salting away "Evergreens" stories that have a longer shelf life because there's not a hard time angle in them for use over slow holiday or summer vacation times. Reporters do the same thing here but talk about writing stories for the "frigo," the freezer.
Some US reporters talk disrespectfully about their bosses as MFWICs -- The M.....f.....s What In Charge. Here, the French term for bosses and officials is The Responsibles. I love that.
