Scenes from Hammamet

Hammamet on the Golf of Hammamet is made for tourists, with restaurants, shops and pretty beaches. It made me homesick for Florida. We had ice cream at a seaside cafe, posed near the mermaid statue and in front of the 15th Century fort (shades of St. Augustine) and I swam in the sea -- or rather was pounded by the waves -- for hours. Nicest day I've had in Tunisia.
