Moving in and out of the hotel while not leaving Tunis might have driven me over the top with frustration except for a gift that arrived early 9/6 -- a box of books that Drew Fed-Ex'd me from Sarajevo.
"What do you want?" he'd asked and I'd said, anything, I'll read anything in English.
He took me at my word. One of the books that arrived: A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian.
