Phoenician tile work...it looks so modern and it's designed to keep you from slipping on wet floor.

One of the mosaics covered by boards that comes alive in color when squirted with magic guide water.

In the foreground appears to be yet another old foundation. But if you have a guide who half-carries, half-cajoles you to climb over the barrier and leap to the middle of the stone work, you'll see beneath you the shape of two immense turtles facing in different directions. In ancient times water would have sprayed over them and it must have been lovely. I found myself thinking about any American tourist site that would allow such capering on the goods -- the possible damage to artefact and to insurance premiums would just be too immense.
