Hawley's out-of-place blond looks generate amost as many stares as Del's gaint stature. A woman approached her and asked in French, American? Catholic? And when Hawley nodded she pulled out a rosary wrapped around her neck down her shirt and posed for us. Thank you she told us.
These two young girls listened intently, laughing, as we jabbered on about pictures and pretty Algiers, so I asked for their picture. Thank you very much, they responded in perfect English.
