Helping the Bangladesh economy
I did my part for this Third World economy, buying a salwer set (the colorful three-piece pants, tunic and scarf set) that make women here look so good and embroidery and things for Christmas presents. This Aarong -- part of the NGO BRAC empire in Bangladesh -- where they sell men and women's fashion (like the traditional sari below) and textiles, leather and jewelry. I bought a bagful of presents -- though it was still amounted to ess than $50.
