Easter Eggs

Zeljka, one of our reporters who is a Croat and Catholic, brought a basket of Easter eggs in for the office on Good Friday. They were so amazing I brought my home to save and photograph rather than eat. I'm used to those mottled, splotchy, sometimes gray coz we mix all the colors together, Easter eggs we produced from Paas kits on the kitchen table. These were little oval works of art -- deep green and rich brown imprinted with delicate leaves and herbs shapes.

"Oh, it is too easy," Zeljka responded to my compliments. She has promised to teach me how to make them.
