My friend Sally, a civil attorney who's worked in Sarajevo for several years, reports that she found herself sobbing at a recent public event when the Bosnian national anthem played.
It's a slow, somber, infinitely sad song, composed by a Bosnian serb who fought in the 1990s war -- and it has no words.
The Serbs, Croats and Muslims cannot agree on a set of lyrics.
The song suddenly seemed to her, Sally said, to sum up the whole sad, divided country.
