Mel Gibson could star in a movie of his life.

Hvar, Budapest and Vienna now have all have soaring edifices named for St. Stephen. So it is time to look him up.

He was the first martyr among JC's disciples, stoned to death for his big mouth.

Saul of Tarsus, the future Saint Paul, was among the mob that killed him, pissed off at his final speech: an accusation against the Jews of killing their prophets and of being Christ-killers:

According to experts his final speech went something like: "Which one of the Prophets did your fathers not persecute, and they killed the ones who prophesied the coming of the Just One, of whom now, too, you have become betrayers and murderers."

This charge has been repeated through Christian history. By the way there is no support for it in the Old Testament.
