Karen Henderson which whom I have had adventures in Bulgaria and East Africa arrived in Sarajevo Sept. 27. I thought we'd be doing stuff around Bosnia and indeed we visited Sarajevo sights, Mostar and Blagaj, all of which I've blogged about already. But Karen doesn't like to sit still on vacation.

So, before I knew it we were on a night train to Budapest, then a hydrofoil to Vienna. It is a testimony to the amount we did, saw and ate on this impromptu trip that Chase Bank insisted I call a toll-free number and VERIFY all the many transactions over just 10 days. They thought my card had been stolen.
