Nista: Unlucky in two languages

I recently learned that Lutrija means lottery. I'd thought all the signs around town were for some kind of juice or sausage. Now I've made another discovery -- Bosnians have scratch tickets.

I have always loved these, though I've never won more than $5. I still have dreams of scratching off that gray flaky coating with a key and ending up with enough to actually retire.

I continue to work, however. I bought a pack of Horoskop, slot srecka and Loto Plus Auto tickets -- 1 KM each (about a quarter)and scratched away. But all I ended up with was NISTA and NE SKIDAJ. Guess you don't need a translation for those words.
