Dwight Eisenhower slept here

During the North African campaign of 1942-43 Eisenhower made his base the St. George's Hotel. We checked out his old room. It's popular as a honeymoon suite now. Ike had a lovely view of the garden. But the pool is new -- so is the big flat-screen TV on the dresser.
