If I die, blame the New York Times

Inspired by the Times' recent editorial campaign against the environmental travesty of water in plastic bottles, I have begun using the tap water in Algiers. Millions of Algerians do it and they survive and it's so hot here that you go through a lot of bottles.

I am boiling it first, however, a full, rolling boil. I can't see anything floating in it or sunk at the bottom afterward, so here goes.
