Say, "I'll see you tomorrow," to an Algerian and he'll respond: "Inshallah."
Say, "I will bring you bread tomorrow," and you get the same answer.
"Can you help me with this?" same answer.
It means God Willing and it's partway between a prayer and a verbal good-luck charm. It's hard to have a conversation in which this word is not uttered a couple of times.
And if something goes awry, a plan fails, an appointment is missed, whatever, the humorous response is "Uh-oh, I didn't say Inshallah."
